Chameleon Optics wins NSF SBIR award to study electrochromic nano-pigment dispersion within both inks and dried polymer films. Assisting with this research is the Coating and Inks Research Institute (CIRI) at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem PA.

U.S. Patent 7586665 is granted to Chameleon Optics for positive electrochromic inks that are suitable for use in a flexible electrochromic device. This patent describes the dispersion of electrochromic Prussian Blue nano-pigments within a polymer matrix.
U.S. Patent 7414771 is granted to Chameleon Optics for ion-conducting adhesives that are suitable for use in a flexible electrochromic device. The patent describes transparent adhesives that are unaffected by moisture and operate over a wide temperature range.

U.S Patent 6456418 is granted to Chameleon Optics for negative electrochromic inks that are suitable for use in a flexible electrochromic device. This patent describes the in-situ generation of electrochromic transition-metal-oxide nano-pigments within a fluoropolymer matrix.
